ScopePaid
Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of ScopePaid.
- Last updated:
- 14 August 2026
- Effective:
- 26 July 2026
1. Agreement to terms
By creating an account or using ScopePaid, you agree to these Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Operator identity
ScopePaid is operated from India. Questions about these Terms: support@scopepaid.com. Privacy and data-rights requests are handled under the Privacy Policy.
3. Eligibility and authority
You must be able to form a binding contract and be authorised to use ScopePaid for your business. If you use ScopePaid on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
4. ScopePaid service description
ScopePaid is a workflow tool for documenting approved scope, analysing change requests, preparing client options and recording decisions. It does not process your clients’ project payments, provide legal advice, certify electronic signatures or guarantee that clients will pay.
5. Early-access status
ScopePaid is offered in early access. Features may change. Free Starter is available now. Solo and Studio are product-ready capacity plans. Lemon Squeezy is the Merchant of Record for ScopePaid subscriptions. Unfinished agency enhancements (such as team members and custom branding) are not included in the current Studio subscription.
6. Accounts and account security
You are responsible for account credentials and for activity under your account. Use strong authentication controls available through our managed authentication provider and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised access.
7. Workspace and user content
You retain ownership of content you enter (projects, baselines, requests, estimates and related records). You grant ScopePaid a limited licence to host, process and display that content solely to operate the service.
8. Client participant data
If you collect client names, emails or comments through ScopePaid, you are responsible for having a lawful basis and providing any notices required for your relationship with those clients. ScopePaid processes that information to provide the workflow you configure.
9. Scope baselines and approval records
Baselines, classifications, estimates and approval pages reflect information you enter or explicitly apply. Decided approval records are retained as project history and are designed to remain immutable for audit integrity.
10. Public approval links
- Public pages record a project decision selected by the participant
- They are not represented as certified legal electronic signatures, and ScopePaid does not determine legal enforceability
- ScopePaid does not provide legal advice
- Links may expire, be revoked or be regenerated by the owner
- Owner-triggered client email delivery may be available when email is configured; owners remain responsible for how they share links
11. AI Scope Assistant
The AI Scope Assistant is optional and assistive. When enabled and explicitly requested, it may draft classifications, effort ranges or approval copy. It is not legal, accounting or pricing advice. Outputs may be wrong. AI does not automatically publish, email clients or finalise commercial terms.
12. User review responsibility
You must review scope comparisons, prices, timelines and client-facing text before publishing or relying on them. You remain responsible for your client communications and commercial decisions.
13. Estimates, prices and timelines
Hours, prices and timeline impacts shown to clients originate from owner-entered or owner-applied values. Illustrative marketing examples are not guarantees.
14. Usage limits and entitlements
Current plan ceilings (subject to change and published on Pricing) include approximately:
- Free Starter: 1 active project, 3 client change requests total, 1 approval publication total, 1 AI-assisted review total (one-time allowance; does not reset)
- Solo: 10 active projects, 50 client change requests each UTC monthly usage period, 50 approval publications each UTC monthly usage period, 50 AI-assisted reviews each UTC monthly usage period
- Studio: 50 active projects, 250 client change requests each UTC monthly usage period, 250 approval publications each UTC monthly usage period, 250 AI-assisted reviews each UTC monthly usage period
Solo and Studio client change request, approval-publication and AI limits reset on the workspace UTC monthly period. Deleting a client change request does not restore consumed usage. Free Starter allowances do not reset. Active-project limits are capacity slots and do not reset monthly; archived projects stop counting toward active-project capacity. After a plan change, existing records remain accessible subject to lawful restrictions; new creation may be paused while over capacity. Self-serve upgrade and Manage billing (Lemon Customer Portal) are available for eligible paid workspaces; cancellation and end-of-period access follow Lemon Squeezy checkout terms together with these Terms and the Refund Policy.
15. Free Starter plan
Free Starter is available without payment during early access and includes a one-time allowance to experience a complete ScopePaid workflow. Existing records remain available after the allowance is used. Free Starter is provisioned directly by ScopePaid and is not a Lemon Squeezy checkout product.
16. Paid plans and billing status
Solo ($19/month) and Studio ($49/month) are recurring monthly capacity subscriptions available through enabled Lemon Squeezy checkout. Lemon Squeezy is the Merchant of Record for ScopePaid paid subscriptions. Paid checkout is available through Lemon Squeezy when you complete an enabled purchase. No paid subscription is created and no recurring charge occurs until you complete a real enabled checkout. Taxes, invoices, renewals, cancellations and applicable payment/refund processing follow the Merchant of Record checkout terms together with these Terms and the Refund Policy. ScopePaid does not process your clients’ project payments. Expressing interest through contact channels does not create a paid subscription or charge.
Studio at launch means the Solo workflow with higher capacity limits only. Planned agency enhancements (including team members, reusable templates, multiple client contacts, custom branding and advanced reporting) are not included in the current Studio subscription.
17. Refunds
See the Refund Policy. Refund consideration for paid subscriptions is described there and remains subject to Lemon Squeezy / Merchant of Record authority and mandatory consumer law. Cancellation is not the same as a refund.
18. Acceptable use
You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy.
19. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, abuse, legal risk or to protect the service. You may stop using ScopePaid at any time. Provisions that should survive (including disclaimers and liability limits) will survive termination.
20. Data availability / export / deletion
PDF approval export is not available. Self-serve export and deletion are not currently available. Contact support for assistance with lawful access or deletion requests.
21. Third-party services
ScopePaid uses third-party service providers for authentication, cloud hosting and data storage, transactional email delivery, optional AI-assisted processing, and subscription billing. Their terms and privacy practices also apply to their processing. Lemon Squeezy acts as Merchant of Record for paid ScopePaid subscriptions when checkout is enabled.
22. Service availability and changes
We aim for reliable availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may be added, changed or removed, especially during early access.
23. Intellectual property
ScopePaid’s software, branding and documentation remain our intellectual property. These Terms do not transfer ownership of our IP to you.
24. Feedback
If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us a royalty-free licence to use them to improve the product without obligation to you.
25. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. ScopePaid disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. AI output and estimates are not warranties.
26. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScopePaid will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, lost profits, lost revenue or lost data arising from use of the service. Mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded remain unaffected.
27. Your responsibilities
You remain responsible for your content, client relationships and lawful use of the service. These Terms do not transfer your professional, contractual or regulatory duties to ScopePaid.
28. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to applicable mandatory consumer-protection and other non-waivable laws. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law. Exclusive court venue is not asserted here.
29. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by reasonable means. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
